Robert, a musician, meets Alicja, a waitress at a party for his father. Robert hears the young woman singing, and he offers to play music with her. Alicja lacks confidence as well as faith in her talent. Robert, who lives in his father's shadow, sees in Alicja's music a chance to come into his own. As they work together, they develop feelings for one another. Can two different sounds harmonize?
