Lejdis is a humorous story about four average women in their thirties, and their wild and strong emotions and experiences in one year. We meet Monia, Lucja, Gosia and Korba on New Year’s Eve. This is not a normal New Years Eve night, but a Lejdis event which has been organized for the last 25 years in the middle of summer. This is a time for expressing hopes for the new year. Lucja, a biology teacher who is raising a son by herself, dreams about getting married. Gosia, wife of a European Parliamentarian who works in Brussels, wants desperately to get pregnant. Monia, wife of a millionaire, wants breast implants. Korba, who is single, believes that nothing in life will change. Will any of their dreams come true? In the hours that follow the Lejdis evening, Monia and Korba catch Marek, Lucja’s partner, cheating on her. In order to avoid a scandal unexpectedly, Marek asks Lucja to marry him. They keep the secret to themselves, but this turns out to be just the tip of the iceberg. During one year, their lives completely change. Happily, there is one thing that remains constant: their friendship, which helps them through affairs, get revenge and build new relationships.
