We Film the People is a documentary which explores the history of Polish cinema in the 70's. It is a true investigation into how Polish directors managed to get around the communist government’s censorship. Through interviews with famous filmmakers such as Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Zanussi and Marcel Łoziński; through interviews with politicians and through clips of famous movies of the time, the director presents a fascinating story of artistic freedom inside the communist system.
