Warsaw By Night
(Warsaw by night)
What connects us? Warsaw By Night starts on a Friday evening, lasts through the night, and ends on a Saturday morning. As Friday evening falls, the city begins to pulse with life. People gather in pubs and dance clubs. Couples emerge. An eighteen-year-old boy who suffers unrequited love and a girl who loves another girl; two women: the wife’s sister and the husband’s mistress; a thirty-year-old single man who lost his father and a liberated thirty-year-old woman seeking excitement; an elderly woman and an elderly man. They spend a few hours together, playing their roles, putting on masks, searching for love and closeness. Differing in age, profession and personality, the characters are linked by the city where they search for closeness and by the hope of finding love. In the course of the night, each of them will meet someone who can help them overcome their loneliness and understand themselves better.
